CHERRYGAL HEIRLOOM IRIS PLANTS FIVE Light & Dark Lavender. It has been three years since I last offered these so it is time for me to divide my heirloom Iris. I am offering only a LIMITED NUMBER and when they are sold, that is it for another 3 years. These are spectacular - the names have long since been lost to me, but they are tall bearded types of two colors: a light lavender with white beard, and a lavender/purple with creamy yellow center, striped fall and yellow beard. All are deliciously fragrant! They grow 4' high, with thick green foliage. Very healthy and resilient - I have never seen a touch of any problem with them - no funguses or borers so they must have some resistance (or I am extraordinary gardener). But then heirlooms do tend to be heartier, in my experience. The blooms are long lasting and make wonderful cut flowers. I have carried these around for the better part of my adult life, having gotten my starters from my Mom as a young adult. So make this a treasured heirloom in your garden! [Please note: I cannot ship live plants, pips or bulbs to California, Alaska or Hawaii. Sorry.]ORGANICALLY GROWN
These can be transplanted successfully from September through October, depending on your area, so please let me know your preferred shipping time frame. I will not dig your iris until the morning I ship, so you are assured of receiving healthy vibrant fans that will bloom for you next spring. I will be clipping the greens for purposes of shipping, but the greens will bounce back and I am of the school that once established you leave the greens until they die off. Here in North Carolina, they really don't, just a few per rhizome, but in colder climes they may die to the ground to return in the spring.
These plants are HEALTHY AND STRONG! And I have included lots of pix so you can appreciate their full beauty. Iris should only be divided once every two-three years, so this will not be an annual offering. Get them while they last! And sorry, I do not take returns, but I am sure you will be pleased. Just plant upon arrival, be sure they are in good cultivated soil in a bed that will not be disturbed but kept weeded and watch them take over and spread! Enjoy!
