BLUE WOODRUFF (Asperula orientalis, azurea), is an American native with beautiful star shaped foliage supporting fluffy blue flowers. Blooms mid-to-late Spring and grows to 12" and spreads to 6". They are a "neat" flower that basically "disappears" once its annual show is done. A charming filler in the decorative border. Germination most successful sown 4-6 weeks before last frost, barely covered, in a position that will be semi-permanent in sun or light shade. Zones 5-8. Annual, but will reseed in some zones.
