PURPLE OLIVE RADISH, also known as Plum Purple, is a rare heirloom that 18th Century France. Beautiful violet colored exterior and crisp white interior. The flavor will mirror the weather -- this is sweet and mild if grown in cool weather and spicy hot if grown in the summer. Crisp flesh, mildly pungent flavor, top quality. Resists pithiness. It is, in fact, an excellent source of fiber, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Calcium, Magnesium, Copper and Manganese, Vitamin C, folate and potassium (as much as bananas). GROWING TIP: Soooooooooo easy! And fast! Plant with your carrots to mark the row as these pop up quickly! Plant spring or fall as they like cool weather. Containers work well too for the smaller varieties.
