MIZUNA (Brassica juncea) is a Japanese heirloom that is as versatile as it is delicious. Very mild but with a distinct mustard flavor, it is equally good in salads or as a cooked green. A hardy annual that grows 8-15" high with slender, white stalks that bear feathery leaves. Slow to bolt and cold hardy, it is also cut-and-come again. Harvest young (21 days) for salads and let grow for cooking (40-65 days). 100 seeds.
GROWING TIPS: Direct seed in full sun to partial shade, 1/4" - 1/2" deep spacing 8" apart when the soil reaches 60 degrees. Only needs moderate water.
