ROCDOR BEAN (Phaseolus vulgaris), or Roc D'or, has become the "gold standard" in wax beans. A French market heirloom, it is consistently productive for a long period of time with tremendous flavor. The 6"-9" slender yellow beans are pretty on the vine. (Of course, as with all green beans of any color, the beans turn green when cooked.) Also, it germinates well in cool soils, so it gives you a jump on the season, though it will be more productive if you can wait until the soil warms to plant. Black seeded. Grows up to 24" high on sturdy plants. Bush habit, 55-60 days. 50 seeds.
