Anyone who has visited my back garden, where many of my herbs are propagated, has seen the various seashells that I place throughout. Many of them have been there for fifteen years or more! Seashells slowly leach calcium into the soil -- so important for many plants. You can also add crushed shells, like oyster shells, but some whole ones are just plain beautiful and add to the magic of any garden! The grouting of this jar is tinted a very pale peach and the jar is glazed overall to protect it in weather. However, I do recommend bringing it in for the winter, as winter can really do a number on mosaics. There are Six Ports for planting. As the theme suggests, strawberries are a logical choice, but delicate herbs such as thyme look beautiful as well. I will also supply a length of soaker hose to suspend in the soil and which will allow for better watering from within. It is heavy, so insured shipping is included.
