This original, one-of-a-kind artisan creation by Fit of Pique, combines natural Larimar pebbles beaded on flex silver with a hand-crafted Fine 999 Silver focal of a writhing sea serpent. Larimar was once thought of as an ocean pebble, but has since been discovered to originate upstream in Caribbean rivers. I love the natural pebble form shown here for its color and shadings. I have fashioned a 999 pure silver focal in the shape of a writhing sea serpent harkening back to the lore surrounding this gemstone. It also features a hand-made fine silver toggle clasp. Larimar is fairly new to the canon of crystology, having only been discovered in 1916, and more modernly named. Once referred to as the Atlantis stone, its unique properties are intriguing due to its volcanic nature and the natural striations of copper pectolite, calcium and oxidized iron within its crystal. The necklace measures 32" end to end, but hangs 16" from the neck.
