Description
ACI SIVRE CAYENNE (Capsicum annum) has become one of my favorites, given its beauty, flavor and productivity. It has so much personality with its playful twisted crinkly long brilliantly red pods that can get as long as 10". The plants grow 24" to 30" and become loaded with fruit, so they appreciate a little support. I love the flavor which can range from a mild cayenne to a hot one, with rich fruity essences. Adds incredible element to any dish! Interesting that traditionally these pods are eaten green when the seeds are still soft, but I prefer the fuller flavor at their red and glossy stage. This variety originated in Eastern Europe, some say Turkey, so it performs brilliantly in cooler climates. No pest problems (few hot peppers do). Don't forget that peppers are perennials, so if you grow in a container, you can bring inside for the winter and will be able to get a jump start on your pepper garden the following Spring. 10 Seeds.
