FRESNO CHILI PEPPER (Capsicum annuum) is my new favorite chili pepper not only because it is not uncomfortably hot, but because it combines that moderate heat with full delicious flavor. You can halve and add full peppers to your favorite dishes without worry. For folks who have avoided hot peppers because of their effect, you can again have that wonderful chili flavor! The conical brilliant red fruits measure 2" long and grow point side up on plants with deep green foliage that are 24" - 30" high -- a pretty ornamental as well as vegetable. Not to be confused with jalapenos though you may find them in the grocers listed as jalapenos. They are easy to grow, more disease resistant, love hot dry summers but are also cold tolerant. Soak seeds a few hours and sow indoors on a heat mat for optimum germination 8 to 10 weeks before last front and be sure to harden off before transplanting when warm weather comes.
Seed shipping is fully underway now and orders are usually processed within 1-2 business days.
