Description
GREAT WHITE TOMATO (Solanum lycopersicum) is one of my all-time favorites but not always available. The flavor is exquisite and very fruity and different. The creamy white flesh is beautiful and the exterior will often blush at the blossom end and sometimes through the center of the fruit, making it even prettier! Fruits are large, 1lb slicers, with a smooth, delicious effect on the tongue. Though rumored to date to the American Civil War, I cannot find support for that. It is more likely a 20th Century "heirloom", but definitely one that will stick around! It is open-pollinated, indeterminate, but not viney. However, because of the size and weight of the fruit, definitely support. 75 days 10 Seeds.
